Tongyang Inc. manufactures and sells ready-mixed concrete and aggregates, and distributes construction materials such as steel reinforcement, thermal insulation, tiles, sanitary wares, and plaster boards. It also undertakes housing construction for apartments, high-end residential facilities, and town houses, as well as civil engineering projects including roads and harbors. In addition, the company designs, supplies equipment for, constructs, and operates cement plants, power plants, iron works, and chemical plants, and produces centrifugal and axial fans, blowers, and environmental equipment. Formerly Tongyang Major Corporation, it changed its name to Tongyang Inc. in March 2011; it was founded in 1955 and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
