Union Materials Corp. manufactures and sells ferrite magnets for motors in South Korea and internationally, operating through Ceramic and Ferrite segments. Its ceramic products include fine ceramics such as alumina, silicon nitride, zirconia, and silicon carbide; cermet, ceramics, PCBN/PCD cutting tools, tool holders, milling cutters, endmills, drills, and hydraulic expansion chucks; and industrial ceramics such as faucet discs, fiber optic ferrules, metalized parts, and bio-ceramics. The company also offers ferrite magnets, including ARC type for D/C motor applications and rectangular (block) type for industrial applications, serving the automobile, electrical and electronic engineering, and machinery industries. Formerly known as Ssangyong Materials Corp., it changed its name to Union Materials Corp. in September 2017 and is headquartered in Daegu, South Korea.
