Soligenix, Inc. is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing products for rare diseases in the United States. It operates through two segments: Specialized BioTherapeutics and Public Health Solutions. The Specialized BioTherapeutics segment develops SGX301 (HyBryte), a photodynamic therapy that has completed a Phase 3 trial for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma; SGX942, an innate defense regulator (IDR) technology in Phase 3 for inflammatory diseases including oral mucositis in head and neck cancer; SGX945, an IDR technology in Phase 2a for aphthous ulcers in Behçet's disease; and SGX302, an IDR technology in Phase 2a for mild-to-moderate psoriasis. The Public Health Solutions segment develops RiVax, a ricin toxin vaccine candidate that has completed Phase 1a, 1b, and 1c trials; SGX943, a preclinical therapeutic candidate for antibiotic-resistant and emerging infectious diseases; ThermoVax, a preclinical technology for thermostabilizing vaccines; CiVax, a vaccine candidate for preventing COVID-19; and vaccine programs targeting filoviruses such as Marburg and Ebola. The company was formerly known as DOR BioPharma, Inc. and changed its name to Soligenix, Inc. in September 2009. Soligenix, Inc. was incorporated in 1987 and is headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey.
