It also owns and operates a mobile network based on OPEN RAN technology and sells telecommunication devices and accessories. In addition, it provides fibre-optic networks, including direct fibre connections, and individual ICT solutions such as voice, data, and network solutions. Its products and services are offered under the 1&1, WinSIM, Sim.de, yourfone, smartmobil.de, simply, PremiumSIM, and DeutschlandSIM brands. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Montabaur, Germany, 1&1 AG is a subsidiary of United Internet AG.

United Internet H1 2026 EPS Jumps 60%, Confirms Full-Year Guidance

United Internet AG reported a 60% surge in earnings per share to EUR0.775 for the first half of 2026 and confirmed its full-year guidance. Group revenue rose 3.3% year-over-year, while EBITDA grew 5.1% to EUR676.77 million and EBIT increased 20%, aided by the phase-out of PPA depreciation from the Drillisch acquisition. Free cash flow after leasing reached EUR129.7 million, up about EUR100 million from the prior year, and net debt stood at EUR3.4 billion with a leverage ratio of 2.57. The IONOS segment added 500,000 new customer contracts and grew revenue 6.9% to EUR701.1 million, while the Mail and Media segment saw revenue rise 8.4% to EUR161.4 million and EBITDA climb 16.7% to EUR62.9 million. The 1&1 segment lost 140,000 customer contracts due to the discontinuation of low-cost tariffs, though its EBITDA increased 5.1% to EUR382.7 million. Management reaffirmed 2026 guidance of approximately EUR6.25 billion in revenue, EUR1.45 billion in EBITDA, and cash CapEx of EUR600 million to EUR650 million.
