Rational AG Posts Record 26.5% EBIT Margin in First Half of 2026

Rational AG reported a record EBIT margin of 26.5% for the first half of fiscal 2026, driven by strong operational performance and a one-time tariff refund of EUR14 million. Revenue for the half rose 8% organically to EUR642 million, with iVario revenue up 14% and North America iVario sales surging 24%. The company confirmed its full-year outlook for mid to high single-digit revenue growth and an EBIT margin at the upper end of the 25% to 26% corridor, supported by a healthy order backlog. However, second-quarter revenue growth slowed to 4% due to pull-forward effects in the US, and sales in China fell 25% as Yum China shifted to local sourcing. Management also flagged rising input costs and full-year tariff expenses of EUR28 million to EUR29 million, which may necessitate future price increases.
