Transgene and NEC Report 100% Three-Year Disease-Free Survival with TG4050

Transgene and NEC Corporation announced that TG4050, an individualized neoantigen therapeutic vaccine, achieved 100% three-year disease-free survival in a Phase 1 trial for patients with resected, locally advanced HPV-negative head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, with results published in Nature Communications. All 16 treated patients remained disease-free after a median follow-up of 41 months, while three of 16 control patients relapsed. The vaccine, which encodes up to 30 patient-specific neoantigens, showed a favorable safety profile and induced durable neoantigen-specific CD8+ T-cell responses in 73.3% of patients, persisting over a year after the last vaccination. The ongoing randomized Phase 1/2 trial (NCT04183166) continues, with first immunological data expected in H2 2026 and two-year efficacy data in Q1 2028.
