Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. is a company that, along with its subsidiaries, acquires, explores, evaluates, and develops specialty and critical minerals properties in Canada and the United States. It primarily explores for a wide range of minerals including aluminum, antimony, bismuth, cesium, chromium, cobalt, copper, fluorspar, gallium, germanium, graphite, helium, iron ore, indium, lithium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, niobium, phosphorus, platinum group metals, potash, scandium, silicon, tantalum, tellurium, tin, titanium, tungsten, uranium, vanadium, zinc, and rare earth elements such as neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, terbium, gadolinium, yttrium, and zirconium. Its flagship project is the 100% owned Separation Rapids Lithium Project, which consists of nineteen mineral claims and one mining lease covering approximately 4,414 hectares in the Paterson Lake Area, Kenora Mining Division, Ontario. The company was formerly known as Avalon Rare Metals Inc. and changed its name to Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. in February 2016. It was incorporated in 1991 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
