The company also supplies powertrain parts such as springs for transmissions and snap rings, open-close parts including air dampers, latches, and glove box cushions, resin and metal fasteners, and harnesses for bundling electric wires. The company was formerly known as Kato Hatsujo Inc. and changed its name to PIOLAX, Inc. in October 1995; it was founded in 1933 and is headquartered in Yokohama, Japan.
