Almedio Inc. researches, develops, manufactures, and sells test tapes and test discs in Japan. It operates through the Material, Archive, and Nano Material segments. The Material segment produces refractory materials and thermal insulators, while the Archive segment develops and sells optical drives. The Nano Material segment develops and processes nanomaterial products such as carbon nanofiber, synthetic graphene powder, and CNF pellets for industries including aviation, automotive, medical, and sports. The company also provides measuring instruments for optical media, industrial equipment for optical disc drives, and testing services for DVDs and various discs. Formerly known as A-BEX, it changed its name to Almedio Inc. in March 1997 and was incorporated in 1981, based in Kunitachi, Japan.
