Entergy Louisiana, LLC generates, transmits, distributes, and sells electric power to retail and wholesale customers in Louisiana, using natural gas and nuclear plants. It holds non-exclusive franchises to provide electric service in about 175 incorporated Louisiana municipalities and unincorporated areas of roughly 59 parishes, and non-exclusive franchises to provide natural gas service in the City of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish. Formerly known as Entergy Louisiana Power, LLC, it changed its name to Entergy Louisiana, LLC in October 2015. The company is based in Jefferson, Louisiana, and is a subsidiary of Entergy Utility Holding Company, LLC.
