Faron Pharmaceuticals Oy is a clinical-stage drug discovery and development company. Its lead candidate, Bexmarilimab, is a novel anti-Clever-1 humanized antibody that targets a subpopulation of tumor-associated macrophages, converting highly immunosuppressive M2-like macrophages into a pro-inflammatory state to promote immune activation. The company is also developing bexmarilimab for hematological and solid tumor cancers, and in combination with care therapies, azacitidine, and other hypomethylating agents for relapsed/refractory myelodysplastic syndromes, acute myeloid leukemia, and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia.
