Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. is a U.S. fabricator of steel structures and modules, operating through Services, Fabrication, and Shipyard divisions. Its Services division provides maintenance, repair, construction, scaffolding, coatings, welding enclosures, cleaning, environmental, and other specialty services for offshore platforms, inland structures, and industrial facilities, as well as hookup, civil construction, project management, and commissioning services, and municipal and drainage projects such as pump stations, levee reinforcement, and bulkheads. The Fabrication division produces modules, skids, and piping systems for onshore refining, petrochemical, LNG, and industrial facilities, and offshore facilities; foundations, secondary steel components, and support structures for alternative energy developments and coastal mooring facilities; offshore production platforms and associated structures, including jacket foundations, piles, topsides, and hulls for fixed and floating production and utility platforms; and other complex steel structures. The Shipyard division fabricates newbuild marine vessels and provides marine repair and maintenance services. The company serves international energy producers; refining, petrochemical, LNG, industrial, and power operators; and engineering, procurement, and construction companies. Incorporated in 1985, it is headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas.
