The Gabelli Global Utility & Income Trust

The Gabelli Global Utility & Income Trust is a closed-ended equity mutual fund launched by GAMCO Investors, Inc. and managed by Gabelli Funds, LLC. It invests in public equity markets worldwide, primarily in companies substantially involved in the generation or distribution of electricity, gas, or water and in infrastructure operations, as well as in equity securities, including preferred securities, of companies in other industries that are expected to pay periodic dividends. The fund also invests in income-producing securities such as governments and in stocks across market capitalizations. It benchmarks its performance against the S&P 500 Utilities Index, the Lipper Utility Fund Average, and the S&P 500 Index. The trust was formed on May 28, 2004 and is based in the United States.
