The company owns and operates the Meron power plant, a 1,080-megawatt coal-fired generating station with two steam turbine generators, and sells accredited capacity and wholesale energy to utilities, generation and transmission cooperatives, and other energy market participants. It also operates the Oaktown mining complex, a coal mining and processing operation in Knox and Sullivan counties, Indiana, and Crawford and Lawrence counties, Illinois. Founded in 1949, the company is based in Terre Haute, Indiana.
