Monroe Capital Corporation is a business development company that provides customized financing solutions, primarily senior, unitranche, and junior secured debt, subordinated debt, and to a lesser extent unsecured debt and equity. It also makes equity co-investments in preferred and common stock and warrants. The company focuses on financing leveraged buyouts in lower middle-market companies, mainly in the United States and Canada. It prefers companies with EBITDA between $3 million and $35 million and makes minority equity investments.
