Inotiv, Inc. provides nonclinical and analytical drug discovery and development services to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries in the United States, the Netherlands, and internationally. It operates through two segments: Discovery and Safety Assessment (DSA) and Research Models and Services (RMS). The DSA segment manufactures scientific instruments and related software for life sciences research under the BASi product line, while the RMS segment produces and sells research models, diets, bedding, and bioproducts. Formerly Bioanalytical Systems, Inc., the company changed its name to Inotiv, Inc. in March 2021. It was incorporated in 1974 and is headquartered in West Lafayette, Indiana. On June 3, 2026, Inotiv, Inc. and its affiliates filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
