OFS Capital Corporation is a business development company that makes direct and fund investments, as well as add-on acquisitions. It provides flexible capital solutions, primarily through debt capital and to a lesser extent minority equity investments, to U.S.-based middle-market companies across many industries. It does not invest in operational turnarounds or start-up businesses. The firm targets investments between $3 million and $35 million in companies with revenues of $15 million to $300 million, annual EBITDA of $5 million to $50 million, and enterprise values of $10 million to $500 million. It invests in sectors such as aerospace and defense, business services, consumer products and services, construction and building, durable goods, capital equipment, automotive, food and beverage, healthcare and pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals, transportation cargo and logistics, value-added distribution, franchising, and industrial and niche manufacturing. It uses senior secured, unitranche, first-lien, second-lien, subordinated/mezzanine loans, warrants, preferred equity, and common equity securities, and may take minority or majority stakes. It also co-invests with partners for additional capital.
