Sachem Capital Corp. is a U.S. real estate finance company that originates, underwrites, funds, services, and manages a portfolio of short-term loans secured by first mortgage liens on real property. It also offers non-bank loans, serving real estate investors and developers financing the acquisition, renovation, rehabilitation, development, and improvement of residential or commercial properties. The company was formerly known as HML Capital Corp. and changed its name to Sachem Capital Corp. in December 2016. Founded in 2010, it is headquartered in Branford, Connecticut.
