Sound Energy plc, through its subsidiaries, explores, appraises, and develops gas assets in Morocco. It operates in three segments: corporate; exploration and appraisal; and development and production. The company holds a 27.5% interest in the Grand Tendrara project covering approximately 14,411 square kilometers, a 27.5% interest in the Anoual project covering approximately 5,031 square kilometers, a 20% interest in the Tendrara project covering approximately 133.5 square kilometers, and a 75% interest in the Sidi Mokhtar project covering approximately 4,712 square kilometers onshore on Morocco's Atlantic seaboard. It is also involved in exploring for naturally occurring hydrogen and helium in Morocco and in the renewable energy business. Formerly known as Sound Oil Plc, it changed its name to Sound Energy plc in September 2015, was incorporated in 2005, and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.
