国内最大の発電会社ＪＥＲＡが、米国市場への上場を視野に入れた調査を開始したことが関係者の話で明らかになった。同社は東京電力ホールディングスと中部電力が折半出資し、新規株式公開を計画している。これまで東京証券取引所への上場を基本線としてきたが、海外事業の拡大に伴い投資家との接点を広げ資金調達基盤を強化する狙いから、米国上場も含めた本格的な検討に乗り出した。調査は初期的段階で、上場時期や市場、具体的なスキームは未定。ＪＥＲＡは国内発電容量５９００万キロワットを有し、年間売上高約３兆円、総資産約１０兆円の規模で、２０２４年度から２０３５年度までに５兆円の投資を計画している。
