Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.日本製紙は5日、2027年3月期の連結業績予想を従来の予想から「未定」に変更すると発表した。最大震度7を記録した7月の熊本地震で被災した八代工場などの影響を精査するためで、同日に記者会見した瀬辺明社長は工場閉鎖は現時点で考えていないと強調した。八代工場は煙突が複数倒壊するなど甚大な被害を受け再開のめどは立っておらず、5月には米国子会社でタンク破裂により11人が死亡する事故も発生し操業停止が続いている。
