Wall Street closed higher on Thursday as July producer price data reduced expectations of a September Federal Reserve rate hike. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1% to 53,839.99, the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.8% to 26,803.03, and the S&P 500 gained 0.7% to 7,800. The Labor Department reported the producer price index was unchanged in July, below the consensus estimate of a 0.1% increase, while core PPI rose 0.4%. EnerSys and A.P. Møller - Mærsk reported quarterly earnings that beat estimates, sending their shares up 5.7% and 9.6% respectively.
