2S second-quarter profit surges 201% to 227 million baht, board approves dividend of 0.12 baht

Shares of 2S Metal Public Company Limited, or 2S, jumped nearly 17% after it reported second-quarter net profit for the period ending June 2026 of 227.43 million baht, up 201.08% from 75.54 million baht a year earlier. Sales revenue came in at 2.01 billion baht, a 9.33% increase, as higher average steel and oil prices pushed the average selling price per tonne up 11.10%, even though sales volume dipped slightly by 1.60%. Gross profit margin rose to 18.61% from 9.79% in the prior year, while selling and administrative expenses increased 12.33% to 112.71 million baht due to higher transport and salary costs. The board also approved an interim dividend of 0.12 baht per share, with the XD date set for 20 August 2026 and payment on 2 September 2026. For the first six months, net profit reached 368.52 million baht, a 162.83% increase.
