A.P. Moller Capital has agreed to acquire Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa through its Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II. The deal gives the fund 100% ownership of the established renewable energy platform, which currently holds 148 megawatts of operating and in-construction assets, 351 megawatts of construction-ready projects, and an 11.6-gigawatt development pipeline spanning solar, wind, and battery storage. The acquisition aligns with A.P. Moller Capital's focus on energy transition infrastructure in high-growth markets and builds on its existing investments across Africa and Asia. The transaction remains subject to regulatory and other third-party approvals.
