MediaTek is splitting its newest lineup across two generations: the premium Dimensity 9600 Pro uses TSMC's 2-nanometer process, while the broader-market 9600M stays on the established 3-nanometer node. MediaTek says the Pro chip's neural-processing unit improves prompt handling by 51% over the previous generation, and phones powered by both processors are expected to reach the market soon.
