Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals Division posted 9% year-over-year sales growth in the first quarter of 2026, driven by broad-based demand across emerging markets. Sales in Key Emerging Markets increased 9.4%, with double-digit growth in several countries across Latin America and Asia Pacific, while Other Emerging Markets rose 7.9% excluding foreign exchange effects. The division is expanding key brands such as Creon, Duphaston, Femoston and Influvac into new markets and pursuing strategic licensing opportunities. Abbott also broadened its biosimilar presence through launches and approvals, including the first denosumab biosimilar in Thailand, the first Clesoniz biosimilar launch in Malaysia, its first biosimilar approval in Brazil with Bisintex, and recent Anvisa approval for two denosumab biosimilar medications in Brazil.
