Absci CorpPositive interim Phase 1 data for ABS-201 and extended cash runway into 2028.
Absci Corporation announced positive interim Phase 1 data from its HEADLINE trial of ABS-201, an AI-designed antibody for pattern hair loss, and completed a $100 million underwritten offering that included a $40 million strategic investment from Eli Lilly & Company. The blinded, aggregate interim data suggest the study drug was well tolerated with a favorable safety profile, and the estimated half-life of at least 65 days supports a dosing interval of two or three injections over six months. Absci now expects its cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities of $201.1 million as of June 30, 2026 to fund operations into the second half of 2028. The company anticipates reporting interim proof-of-concept data for pattern hair loss in the second half of 2026 and full proof-of-concept data in early 2027, and plans to initiate a Phase 2 trial for endometriosis in the fourth quarter of 2026. Net loss for the second quarter was $33.2 million, compared to $30.6 million in the prior-year period.
