Adobe Systems IncorporatedAdobe acquired Rilo to add agentic AI marketing workflow automation technology and team to its enterprise offerings.

Adobe Inc. has acquired Rilo, an India-based AI workflow automation startup, to strengthen its agentic artificial intelligence capabilities in marketing. The deal includes licensing Rilo's technology and adding its team, which has developed AI agents that can execute multi-step marketing workflows from plain-English instructions. This acquisition follows Adobe's approximately $1.9 billion purchase of Semrush four months ago, part of a broader push to build an AI-powered marketing intelligence ecosystem. While the move could enhance Adobe's enterprise offerings and help it compete with tech giants like Google, Meta, and Amazon, it does not address investor concerns about ARR growth and AI monetization. Hedge fund holdings in Adobe fell to 81 in the second quarter from 86, with notable reductions by Arrowstreet Capital and AQR Capital Management, while short interest stands at about 4.5%.
