ADTRAN IncStrong demand for optical networking, broadband, and AI connectivity drove 17.7% revenue growth.

ADTRAN reported first-quarter revenues of $237.9 million, up 17.7% from $202.9 million a year earlier, driven by strong demand for optical networking, broadband access infrastructure, and AI-related connectivity solutions. Optical Networking Solutions revenue jumped 24% year over year to $97.3 million, making it the company's fastest-growing product category, as AI infrastructure spending, rising cloud connectivity requirements, and higher-bandwidth services fuel demand for optical transport equipment. Broadband buildout in the United States, supported by government programs to close the digital divide, is creating a favorable environment for ADTRAN's fiber access equipment, while European network operators replacing Chinese vendors from critical infrastructure offer a multi-year growth opportunity. The company also introduced LiteWave800, its first solution purpose-built for intra-data center AI infrastructure, and partnered with euNetworks to support a new quantum-safe connectivity service across Europe, broadening its exposure to AI data center networking and secure optical connectivity demand.
