Agility Robotics will go public through a merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI in a deal that values the startup at about $2.5 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported. The companies expect gross proceeds of more than $600 million, including $420 million in cash from Churchill XI and over $200 million from a common-stock private investment in public equity led by Taiwan-based Foxconn. The combined company will list under the ticker symbol AGLT. Agility Robotics, based in Oregon, makes commercially deployable humanoid robots called Digit and has already secured orders for a new version with finer dexterity and higher safety standards.
