Agora Hospitality Group released its earnings after the market close on August 13. For the cumulative first half of the fiscal year ending December 2026, the company swung to a consolidated net loss of 59 million yen. In the same period a year earlier, it posted a net profit of 275 million yen, and the result marked a reversal from its previous forecast of a 150 million yen profit. Based on the company's reported first-half results and its unchanged full-year plan, consolidated net profit for the July to December period is calculated to fall sharply by 69.1 percent year on year to 309 million yen. For the April to June quarter, the most recent three-month period, consolidated net profit plunged 91.3 percent year on year to 25 million yen, and the operating margin on sales dropped sharply to 7.2 percent from 13.7 percent a year earlier.
