AIA Singapore announced corporate policy enhancements that will expand cross-border medical access and digitalised care for more than one million insured employees, representing about one-third of Singapore's workforce, at no additional premium starting August 1, 2026. The first-of-their-kind enhancements include industry-first inpatient coverage at selected hospitals in Malaysia with a Letter of Guarantee Plus, an expanded dental network to clinics in major Malaysian retail malls, and a waiver of GP referral requirements for specialist outpatient clinics at Singapore public hospitals. Employees will also gain a fully digitalised pre-authorisation process through the AIA+ app and web portal, along with round-the-clock GP teleconsultation via WhiteCoat. The move comes as 34 percent of Singapore residents worry about healthcare affordability and medical inflation is projected to hit a record 16.9 percent, according to the AIA Live Better Study and industry data.
