Airbus Group SEAirbus set a mid-term EBIT target of 12-13 billion euros by 2029 and announced a 5 billion euro share buyback plan, both positive for shareholders.

Airbus announced on the 21st a mid-term target of 12 to 13 billion euros in core profit, measured as earnings before interest and taxes, by 2029. The company set an operating profit target of around 10 billion euros for its main commercial aircraft division and also unveiled a 5 billion euro share buyback plan. EBIT for 2025 was 7.13 billion euros, with a target of 7.5 billion euros for 2026, as it plans to boost profit by increasing deliveries while overcoming supply chain disruptions and engine shortages. Commercial aircraft deliveries in the first half of 2026 are expected to rise 15 percent year-on-year, with full-year deliveries seen at 870 aircraft, up 10 percent. Airbus is also considering a significant production increase for the A350 to meet growing demand for wide-body jets, and is looking at introducing variants of the A350 and A220, though it did not specify a decision timeline.
