Alamos Gold IncSeismic events and power outages at Young-Davidson mine cut Q2 production guidance by 12% and raised cost expectations.

Alamos Gold lowered its second-quarter production guidance to 130,000 to 135,000 ounces, a 12% decrease from previous estimates, after seismic events and storm-related power outages caused three days of unplanned downtime at its Young-Davidson mine. The company also expects full-year costs to exceed original projections. Meanwhile, the Island Gold District achieved a record underground mining rate of 1,500 tonnes per day and the Magino mill throughput averaged approximately 9,800 tonnes per day in June, supporting expectations for stronger second-half production. Alamos Gold eliminated all remaining 2026 legacy Argonaut gold hedges at a cost of $92.3 million and repurchased $30 million in shares during May 2026 under its Normal Course Issuer Bid.
