Mastercard IncMastercard Agent Pay integration extends Mastercard payment credentials to AI agent purchases, expanding transaction volume on its network.

Alchemy announced that its AgentCard product will support Mastercard payment credentials through an integration with Mastercard Agent Pay, enabling developers to build AI agents that can complete online purchases on users' behalf. AgentCard gives each agent a dedicated email address, phone number, stablecoin wallet and one-time-use Mastercard payment credentials, and developers can set it up through a single CLI in under a minute. The one-time-use, tokenized credentials link to a user's existing Mastercard, preserving rewards, credit lines and card benefits without creating new accounts, while users and issuers can set purchase limits, merchant categories and transaction boundaries. AgentCard is also designed to support Verifiable Intent, Mastercard's framework for proving an agent acted within the user's authorized instructions. Alchemy co-founder and CEO Nikil Viswanathan said agents need a trusted way to pay and prove authorization, and Mastercard EVP of Digital Commercialization Sherri Haymond said Agent Pay brings the trust and consumer control needed to move agentic commerce into everyday use. AgentCard is available today at agentcard.ai.
