The All-Toyota Workers' Union, which represents labor unions across the Toyota Motor group, held its regular convention in Fukuoka City on the 11th and unanimously approved an action policy for the 2027 spring wage negotiations. With inflation continuing, the union affirmed its commitment to pursuing sustained wage increases and also set out a policy of seeking more annual days off. Union Chairman Katsuyoshi Nishino stressed at a press conference before the convention that "the situation facing the industry remains extremely severe," and said it is necessary to generate the funds for wage increases by improving productivity and promoting fair transactions throughout the supply chain.
