Alphabet has launched three new Gemini models, led by Gemini 3.6 Flash, which Google says outperforms its predecessor on tasks including coding and financial analysis at a lower cost to users. The company also released Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, tuned to find and patch software vulnerabilities, and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, aimed at lightweight AI agents and autonomous assistants. The Flash family is positioned on cost, offering developers capable models without the expense of larger systems. The launches come as OpenAI and Anthropic have recently introduced systems that detect software vulnerabilities, and as Chinese developers gain ground, with Moonshot AI capping new Kimi K3 subscriptions after demand strained its compute and Alibaba saying its coming Qwen 3.8 Max should rank among top-performing systems. Alphabet shares were down 0.91% intraday.
