Alphabet is once again under selling pressure in after-hours trading. During the earnings call, CFO Ashkenazi raised the 2026 capital expenditure forecast to between $195 billion and $205 billion, which was met with disapproval. This is an increase from the previous high of $190 billion set in April, and represents more than double the prior year's actual spending. Furthermore, the company reiterated that capital expenditure in 2027 is expected to significantly exceed the 2026 level.
