Alphabet Inc. raised its 2026 capital expenditure outlook to between $195 billion and $205 billion, up from a prior forecast of $180 billion to $190 billion, yet said demand for its artificial intelligence services continues to outpace available computing capacity. CEO Sundar Pichai stated during the second-quarter earnings call that Google remains supply constrained, calling it a sign of momentum and rapid adoption. CFO Anat Ashkenazi added that the company is still in a supply constraint environment with very strong demand from external cloud customers and across the business. Alphabet plans to expand its use of third-party capacity in the third quarter as a bridging strategy while it continues building out internal capacity. The company reported second-quarter revenue of $119.80 billion, beating analyst estimates of $116.82 billion, and earnings of $9.11 per share, topping estimates of $2.87.
