Alto Neuroscience highlighted the publication in Nature Medicine of an independent study showing pramipexole significantly reduced anhedonia in patients with mood disorders. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, conducted by Lund University investigators, included adults with major depressive disorder, dysthymia, or bipolar depression. Participants received flexible-dose pramipexole or placebo alongside existing treatment for nine weeks, with improvements sustained during a six-month open-label extension. Separately, the company appointed Andrew Miller, former founder and R&D president at Karuna Therapeutics, to its board of directors effective May 27, 2026, to support advancement of its precision psychiatry pipeline.
