Amaneos, part of German private equity firm Mutares, has finalized its purchase of Magna's European automotive lighting operations. The acquired unit, which posted revenue of roughly €200 million in 2025 and employs around 1,500 people, will become part of Amaneos' subsidiary Light Mobility Solutions. The deal includes two manufacturing sites in Moncalieri, Italy, and Kostrzyn nad Odrą, Poland, as well as engineering hubs in Rivoli, Italy, and Ostrava, Czech Republic. Amaneos plans to combine Magna's front and rear lighting technology with LMS's exterior panel offerings to deliver more complex, technology-driven modules. The transaction is part of a broader restructuring by Magna, which is divesting its lighting and rooftop systems divisions across three separate deals.
