Amazon.com IncAnalyst projects Amazon could reach $1 trillion revenue by 2028, citing diversified business and strong Q1 earnings beat.

Amazon could become the first company to generate $1 trillion in annual revenue by 2028, according to Futurum Equities Chief Market Strategist Shay Boloor. Boloor said the projection is supported by Amazon's increasingly diversified business model, which spans commerce, cloud, logistics, advertising, and artificial intelligence. Amazon plans to invest about $200 billion in capital expenditures in 2026, supported by major customer commitments including more than $100 billion from OpenAI. Its custom chip business has surpassed a $20 billion annualized revenue run rate and is growing at triple-digit rates. In April, Amazon reported first-quarter revenue of $181.52 billion, topping Wall Street estimates of $177.30 billion, and earnings of $2.78 per share, well above the consensus forecast of $1.66 per share.
