Amazon stock could gain 50% over the next 12 months and reach a $4 trillion total value, according to one Wall Street analyst. The company's artificial intelligence business is growing rapidly, with spending on its Bedrock platform increasing 170% sequentially in the 2026 first quarter and the number of developers using its Kiro coding tool more than doubling. Amazon Web Services sales rose 28% year over year in the first quarter, the highest growth in 15 quarters, while e-commerce still represents more than 60% of total sales and the company plans to have same-day delivery available in 4,500 U.S. cities by the end of the year. Amazon recently overtook Walmart as the largest company in the world by sales, and it is also launching Amazon Leo, a satellite internet project competing with Starlink. The stock trades at under 30 times trailing-12-month earnings, near a 10-year low, but management's guidance for only slightly higher operating income in the second quarter due to AI spending may limit short-term upside.
