Amazon.com IncAWS reports strong Q2 sales growth and raises Q3 guidance, boosting earnings outlook.

Amazon's $5.3 billion Saudi Arabia investment is gaining momentum as AWS confirmed its first cloud region in the Kingdom is on track for a December 2026 launch, announced at the LEAP conference in Riyadh. The region will expand AWS Global Infrastructure to 40 regions worldwide and supports a collaboration with HUMAIN, the Public Investment Fund-owned AI company, to deliver up to 50 megawatts of capacity in Saudi Arabia's first dedicated AI Zone by 2028. AWS also reported second-quarter 2026 net sales climbing 37% year over year to a $169 billion annualized run rate, with third-quarter guidance of $197.0 billion to $202.0 billion in net sales and operating income between $22.5 billion and $26.5 billion. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings stands at $13.06 per share, an 82.15% increase from the prior year, though the stock trades at a forward P/E of 22.78X, above the industry's 21.55X. Amazon currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
