Amazon's artificial intelligence and custom chip businesses have each reached a $25 billion annual revenue run rate, combining for more than $50 billion and triple-digit year-over-year growth. The company's online advertising revenue accelerated to $19.8 billion in the second quarter, a 26% year-over-year increase that helped drive operating income to $27.5 billion, up 43% from a year earlier. Amazon also launched a next-generation Proteus warehouse robot capable of moving loads up to 1,300 pounds and operating throughout fulfillment centers, contributing to record delivery speeds for Prime members with 40% more items delivered same-day or overnight.
