Amazon.com IncPrime Day expected to drive $26.3B in spending, up 9% YoY, with strong demand across categories.
Spending during Amazon's Prime Day shopping event is expected to increase 9% from a year earlier to $26.3 billion, according to Adobe Analytics. The four-day event runs from June 23 to June 26, moved earlier than usual from July to avoid conflicts with the FIFA World Cup and U.S. independence celebrations. Adobe forecasts that Prime Day spending will surpass combined online sales from Black Friday and Cyber Monday in 2025, with strong demand for children's apparel, backpacks, lunch boxes, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, and power tools. Bank of America estimates the 96-hour event will generate $21.6 billion in merchandise sales, up 5% from last year, and notes that Amazon's AI-powered shopping tools could boost engagement. Retailers including Walmart and Target are running competing promotions during the same period.
