Amazon's free cash flow fell to $11.19 billion in 2025 from $38.22 billion in 2024, driven by a $50.7 billion year-over-year increase in purchases of property and equipment, net of proceeds from sales and incentives. The company generated $139.51 billion in cash from operating activities in 2025, but spent $128.32 billion on capital expenditures, largely focused on artificial intelligence, logistics, and data centers. Amazon's cash and cash equivalents reached a record $86.81 billion in 2025 on sales of $716.92 billion and net income of $77.67 billion. Net debt rose to $320.17 billion in 2025, nine times the 2015 level, as total debt climbed to $406.98 billion.
