Advanced Micro Devices IncAMD's Q2 revenue jumped 50% to $11.54B with data-center sales more than doubling and operating margin expanding to 27% from 12%.

Advanced Micro Devices CFO Jean Hu projected that AI could expand the company's addressable market to roughly $2 trillion by 2030, a figure representing potential industry demand rather than future company revenue. The projection came as AMD shares fell approximately 2.5% to $508.10 Thursday, giving back part of the previous session's surge. AMD's second-quarter results showed revenue jumping 50% to $11.54 billion, while data-center sales more than doubled to $6.7 billion and supplied 58% of total revenue. Adjusted operating margin expanded to 27% from 12% a year earlier, and management guided for approximately $13 billion in third-quarter sales. Even a 5% share of that $2 trillion market would equal $100 billion, requiring AMD to deliver competitive chips, deepen software adoption and secure enough manufacturing capacity, while the $508.10 share price stands 82.02% above the $279.15 GF Value.
