Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed that the government has not cancelled the Land Bridge project, but is adjusting plans according to the current situation. The railway connection or Missing Link project will be expedited first for speed, while ports on both sides will be upgraded. The Land Bridge project can be brought back for review immediately when geopolitical conditions are suitable. Details of the Ranong port upgrade still require further study. The Prime Minister noted that there are many other projects to be implemented in the area, and linking the railway to the western region will benefit freight transport.
