Airports Of Thailand PCLNet profit beat estimates due to reversal of doubtful accounts, though revenue fell slightly.

Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, or AOT, reported net profit for the third quarter of fiscal 2069 at 4,441.68 million baht, an increase of 576.88 million baht, or 14.93 percent, from the same period last year. A key supporting factor was a non-current trade receivable under a rehabilitation plan that repaid a total of 993.88 million baht following an order from the official receiver, which reduced expected credit losses and led to a reversal of the allowance for doubtful accounts. Revenue from sales or services fell by 433.00 million baht, or 2.82 percent, as non-aeronautical revenue declined by 627.52 million baht, even though aeronautical revenue rose by 194.52 million baht. For the first nine months, AOT posted net profit of 14,812.33 million baht, up 3.86 percent from the same period last year. Brokers had earlier estimated third-quarter profit for fiscal 2069 at 3,200 to 3,210 million baht, below the actual result.
